Phillip is a Jamaican by birth. He was born (February 1st, 1965) and raised in Jamaica and became a Christian at the age of nine. Being one of the sons of the first of the original three Native Jamaican church of Christ preachers, it was no surprise that he began preaching at the early age of ten years. Phillip's father, having taught many others to preach, started Phillip's education toward expounding the Word of God. After graduating high school, he worked with the Jamaica Defence Force while still carrying out the work of an minister. In 1990, Phillip met Karen Scully and they were married on November 28th 1992.

Twenty-three years after starting to preach, and having preached many Gospel messages, conducted many Gospel meetings and helped many to Christ, Phillip enrolled at Brown Trail School of Preaching in Bedford, Texas for formal training in 1998. While at Brown Trail School of Preaching, he worked with the Cockrell Hill church of Christ in Dallas.

Following his graduation in 2000, Phillip returned to Jamaica with his family and preached for a while. During his time at Brown Trail, Phillip and Karen were blessed with the birth of a wonderful son, Andre Hugh. In January 2003, he and his family moved to Canada, where he attended Great Lakes Bible College, gaining his Bachelor's degree.

Phillip's preaching experience saw him as an minister at Waltham Park Road church of Christ, Delano Avenue church of Christ, Hughenden church of Christ, and Faith's Pen church of Christ in Jamaica; Cockrell Hill church of Christ in Texas; Guelph church of Christ in Canada.
